You can study Economics at UNILAG, UNIBEN, UNIUYO, UNILORIN, ABU, LASU, UNICAL, OAU, UNIZIK, UNIPORT, and UI among other institutions with the JAMB Use of English, Mathematics, Economics, and Government exam.
NOTE: You must have at least a CREDIT in mathematics and English language in your O’level scores in order to study economics in Nigeria.
Also: If you have a D7, F9, or E8 in mathematics, English language, or any of the other compulsory necessary subjects for Economics in JAMB, you should not apply for admission.
All universities in Nigeria accept the above UTME and Direct Entry JAMB subject combination for Economics students.

In order to enroll in an Economics degree program, you must pass the JAMB-required topics, regardless of the school you choose to attend following your Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE).

Requirements For Economics Study
1. You must have at least CREDIT passes in English and mathematics in no more than two (2) sittings in your O’level results (WAEC, NABTEB, or NECO) in order to study economics in Nigeria. Some schools, though, insisted on one sitting.
2. On or before October 31 of the admissions year, you must have reached the age of sixteen (16).
3. Reach the economics cutoff at your school.
4. Possess strong JAMB, WAEC, and post-UTME scores, if applicable.
Direct Entry Conditions For Economics Studies In Nigeria
1. Five (5) or more credits at the Ordinary Level in the Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE/GCE) in no more than two (2) sittings.
2. A degree in a comparable discipline with a First Class or Second Class Upper.
3. If you want to apply for Direct Entry, you must pay for the form through your school and the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
4. A National Certificate of Education (NCE), National Diploma (ND), or other Advanced Level Certificate with a minimum Merit Pass.
5. Additional qualifications that are comparable to (1) and (4) above and are accepted by the Senate of the university of your choosing. Candidates must additionally meet such Faculty/Departmental entry requirements in addition to the aforementioned minimal admission requirements.
