For candidates for the 2022/2023 UTME and Direct Entry, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has published a step-by-step guide that explains how to generate a profile code and how to purchase an e-Pin for both new and previously used phone numbers.

We’ll demonstrate the brand-new process for obtaining, creating, or generating a JAMB profile code for UTME registration in 2022/2023.

Since the National Identity Number (NIN) was added as a requirement for JAMB registration, the registration process has changed slightly, which may have an impact on some prospective candidates who do not yet have their NIN.

How to obtain a JAMB profile code for JAMB registration in 2022 or 2023

• Get your NIN so you may register for JAMB.
• NIN Space NIN Number can be sent to 55019 or 66019 by SMS. Send NIN 12367801207 to 55019 or 66019 if your NIN number is 12367801207, for example. Use only a functional phone number. (Remember to separate the NIN from the number with a space.
• Send an SMS to 55019 or 66019 with the subject line “SURNAME FIRST NAME OTHER NAME” if you don’t know your NIN number.
• JAMB will send you a mail with your JAMB profile code after you send the message (The profile code is ten digits e.g. 4857209334).

Additionally, the notification will include the FULL NAME you entered when registering for a NIN.

NOTE: Each applicant may only use one phone number to get their JAMB profile code. Additionally, be sure to pick a phone number that is simple to reach.

Can I Obtain My Jamb Profile Code Using The Same Phone Number As Last Year?

If you match the requirements listed, you may use the same number as you did last year.

Previously used JAMB registration numbers may only be used once by the same candidate.

The candidate utilizing their old number for the second or third time will buy a new e-PIN using the same profile code.

The candidate can send RESEND to 55019 to get the Old Profile Code if they have forgotten their Profile Code.
