Visa-Free Countries For Gambia

The number of countries where holders of a given national passport are permitted entry without a visa, with a visa obtained upon arrival, or with an electronic Travel Authorization determines the strength of that passport on a global scale.

According to Passport Index, a real-time worldwide passport ranking tool, the Gambian passport is now rated 70th in the world. Based on official data provided by governments, it compares passports from 193 United Nations member countries and 6 territories.

The Index states that holders of Gambian passports are eligible for visa-free, visa-on-arrival, or electronic travel authorization (eTA) entry into a total of 70 countries.

At the moment, travelers with Gambian passports can visit 40 nations without a visa. In addition, one eTA destination and 29 other countries grant visa-on-arrival entry to holders of Gambian passports.

On the other hand, a physical visa or an electronic visa is required for entry into 128 countries for holders of Gambian passports. The United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom, and Japan are a few of the places where a previous visa is necessary.
